முதலீட்டு நல்வாழ்ப்பு குறியீடு 2026 / INVESTMENT FRIENDLINESS INDEX 2026: கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகள், தொழில் சூழல், அரசின் கொள்கைகள் மற்றும் ஒழுங்குமுறை எளிமை உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு முக்கிய காரணிகளின் அடிப்படையில் மாநிலங்களின் முதலீட்டுத் திறனை மதிப்பிடும் முதலீட்டு நல்வாழ்ப்பு குறியீடு 2026 (Investment Friendliness Index 2026) என்ற புதிய அறிக்கையை நிதி ஆயோக் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
இதில் குஜராத், மகாராஷ்டிரா, ஒடிசா, தமிழ்நாடு மற்றும் கோவா ஆகிய மாநிலங்கள் மிகச் சிறந்த செயல்திறனை வெளிப்படுத்தி முன்னணியில் உள்ளன.
இந்தியாவின் தற்போதைய முதலீட்டு விகிதம் சுமார் 25% ஆக உள்ளது. சீனா வேகமாக வளர்ந்த காலத்தில், இதைவிட 2 மடங்கு முதலீடு செய்தது. நாம் நமது மூலதனத்தை மிகவும் திறம்பட பயன்படுத்தி வருகிறோம்.
ஆனால், அவர்களின் முதலீட்டு விகிதத்தையும் வளர்ச்சி விகிதத்தையும் ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்த்தால், மூலதன வெளியீட்டு விகிதம் சீனாவிற்கு மிக அதிகமாக உள்ளது.
இந்தக் குறியீடு என்பது மாநிலங்களை வெறும் தரவரிசைப்படுத்துவது மட்டுமல்ல; மாறாக, அவர்கள் எந்தெந்த துறைகளில் சிறப்பாக செயல்படுகிறார்கள், எவற்றில் இன்னும் மேம்பட வேண்டும் என்பதை உணர்த்துவதற்கான வழிகாட்டி ஆகும்.

இந்தக் குறியீட்டில் அதிகபட்சமாக கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளுக்கு 25% முக்கியத்துவம் (Weightage) வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதற்கு அடுத்தபடியாக தொழில் சூழல், வளங்கள், அரசாங்கக் கொள்கை, ஒழுங்குமுறை எளிமை, நிதி ஆரோக்கியம், நிறுவனச் சூழல் மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் மீள்தன்மை ஆகிய காரணிகள் கணக்கில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளன.
இந்தியாவிற்கு வரும் ஒட்டுமொத்த அன்னிய நேரடி முதலீட்டில் (FDI) 85% மகாராஷ்டிரா, கர்நாடகா, குஜராத், டெல்லி மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு ஆகிய முதல் 5 மாநிலங்கள் மட்டுமே ஈர்க்கின்றன.
இதற்கு நேர்மாறாக, வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்கள் அனைத்தும் சேர்ந்து 1% க்கும் குறைவான முதலீட்டை பெறுகின்றன. இது மாநிலங்களுக்கு இடையேயான பிராந்திய வளர்சி இடைவெளியை வெளிச்சம் போட்டுக் காட்டுவதாக நிதி ஆயோக் அறிக்கை சுட்டிக்காட்டியுள்ளது.

INVESTMENT FRIENDLINESS INDEX 2026: NITI Aayog has released a new report titled the "Investment Friendliness Index 2026," which evaluates the investment potential of states based on key factors such as infrastructure, business environment, government policies, and ease of regulation.
Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Goa have emerged as the top-performing states in this index. India's current investment rate stands at approximately 25%. During its period of rapid growth, China invested at double this rate.
While we utilize our capital very effectively, a comparison of investment and growth rates reveals that China has a significantly higher capital-output ratio.
This index is not merely about ranking states; it serves as a guide to identify the sectors where they excel and areas requiring further improvement.
Covering India's 28 states and 8 Union Territories, the index provides a detailed analysis of the factors that attract investors and the challenges they face.
Infrastructure has been assigned the highest weightage (25%) in this index. Other factors taken into account include the business environment, resources, government policy, ease of regulation, financial health, institutional environment, and environmental resilience.
The top five states Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu attract 85% of the total Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flowing into India.
In contrast, all the Northeastern states combined receive less than 1% of the investment. A NITI Aayog report has highlighted the regional development disparities existing among the states.

INVESTMENT FRIENDLINESS INDEX 2026: Gujarat has retained the top spot in infrastructure. Tamil Nadu holds the second position, and Kerala the third. Odisha ranks 8th, while Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh occupy the 9th and 10th positions, respectively.
Business Environment
INVESTMENT FRIENDLINESS INDEX 2026: Maharashtra leads in the business environment category, followed by Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Punjab ranks 8th, Andhra Pradesh 9th, and Uttar Pradesh 10th.
Government Policy
INVESTMENT FRIENDLINESS INDEX 2026: Madhya Pradesh has secured the top spot in government policy. Gujarat and Rajasthan follow in the subsequent positions. Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu rank 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively.
