Tamil Nadu's Economic Growth - 16%
- According to statistics provided by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for the 2024-25 fiscal year, it is noteworthy that Tamil Nadu has secured the top spot in India in terms of industrial production, recording an economic growth rate of 16%. This information was highlighted in the RBI's report.
- The RBI further stated that, by organizing industrial investors' conferences across various locations including Chennai, Coimbatore, Thoothukudi, Madurai, and Krishnagiri the current government has successfully attracted investments totaling ₹160.53 crore.
- Additionally, the bank noted that industrial production has witnessed a phenomenal growth of 82.6% over the past five years. By manufacturing goods valued at ₹9.65 lakh crore within its factories, Tamil Nadu has made a significant contribution to India's overall industrial production landscape.
- Data indicates that 15.43% of all factories in India are located in Tamil Nadu; furthermore, with a growth rate of approximately 16%, the state has emerged as India's fastest-growing large state.
- In the Mixed Doubles category of the ISSF World Cup Shooting Competition, the Indian team won the gold medal by scoring 487.7 points. It is noteworthy that this score constitutes a new world record in the Junior category.
