Hemant Soren takes oath as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand
- The elections to the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly were held in two phases. In this, the Indian alliance comprising parties including Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal won 56 seats and retained power.
- Earlier, a meeting of new MLAs of alliance parties including Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress was held at Hemant Soren's residence in Jharkhand capital Ranchi on Sunday.
- In this, Hemant Soren was elected as the chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee. Subsequently, Hemant Soren went to the Governor's House and claimed the right to form the government from Governor Santosh Gangwar.
- Subsequently, the state of Jharkhand was formed by bifurcating Bihar on November 15, 2000. Hemant Soren took oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the 4th time
- The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Congress leaders Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Shibu Soren, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata, Aam Aadmi Party coordinator Kejriwal, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh and others.
- Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi today launched an online learning platform for the Indian Army, nicknamed "Eklaviya". The initiative is in line with the Indian Army's vision of taking itself forward into the "Decade of Transformation" and the Indian Army's theme for 2024, "Year of Technology Adoption".
