PM Modi receives Nigeria's highest award
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone on a two-day visit to the African nation of Nigeria on the invitation of President Bola Ahmed Tainubu. This is the first time in 17 years that an Indian Prime Minister has visited Nigeria.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has visited Nigeria, will be honored with one of the country's highest awards, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON). With this, Modi is going to become the first world leader to receive this prestigious award, after Queen Elizabeth of Britain.
- Earlier, 55 years ago, in 1969, Queen Elizabeth was honored with the GCON Award. It is also noteworthy that this is the 17th international award received by Prime Minister Modi. After Nigeria, he will tour Brazil for two days (Nov. 18, 19) and Guyana for three days (Nov. 19-21).
- DRTO The Army Development and Research Organization is designing and testing long-range missiles. Flight test of long-range hypersonic missile successfully conducted from Dr. APJ, Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast.
- The missile is indigenously developed. The flight test was successfully conducted in the presence of senior scientists of DRDO and Armed Forces.
- The 14th Senior Indian National Hockey Championship was held at the May Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Egmore, Chennai. In the final match on Saturday, Haryana vs Odisha played a multi-test.
- The Odisha team dominated from the very beginning in this very lively match. In the end, Odisha defeated Haryana 5-1 to win the title.
