President of Maldives Mohammed Muisu meets Prime Minister Modi
- President of Maldives Mohammed Muisu arrived in India yesterday (October 6) on a 5-day official visit. Following this, Union External Affairs Minister Jaishankar personally met President of Maldives Mohammed Muisu. The two discussed in detail ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
- Following this, the President of Maldives, Mohammed Muisu, paid his respects at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in Rajghat, Delhi this morning (Oct. 7). He then proceeded to the President's House from there. There, President Thirelapathi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Mohammad Moois. Subsequently, he was introduced to ministers.
- Following this, Maldivian President Mohammad Muisu met Prime Minister Modi at his Hyderabad residence in Delhi. It seems that Mooees discussed with Prime Minister Modi about various issues including loan assistance to Maldives in this meeting. Following this discussion, it is expected that various agreements will be signed between the two countries.
- A study meeting on left-wing extremism was held today in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah. Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana Chief Ministers, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister participated in this meeting.
- Union ministers from various ministries who are collaborating with states to expedite development work in areas affected by left-wing extremism also participated during the meeting.
- Union Home Secretary, Director Bureau of Investigation, Deputy National Security Adviser, Central Armed Police Forces and senior officers of the Central Government, Chief Secretaries, Director Generals of Police, senior officials of states affected by left-wing extremism participated in this meeting.
