Government of Tamil Nadu MoU with Eaton
- Various investors met the Chief Minister at the investors conference held in Francisco. During this meeting MoUs on investments were signed. Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu government has entered into an agreement with companies such as Yield Engineering and Microchip.
- Through this, leading American companies are setting up business centers in major cities like Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore. Following this, today two more companies, under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, have signed an MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu.
- In other words, an MoU has been signed with Eaton, a leading company in the field of power management and hydraulics.
- The two navies have signed an agreement regarding the rescue of South African Navy submarine crews in dangerous situations or accidents. The agreement was signed by the Chief of the Indian Navy, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and the Commander of the South African Navy, Vice Admiral Monte Lopes.
- The agreement highlights the implementation of a shared commitment to maritime security and mutual support. Under the agreement, the Indian Navy will provide assistance from its Submerged Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) to South Africa when required.
- It will further strengthen the cooperative ties between the two navies. This effort will strengthen the longstanding maritime relationship between India and South Africa.
- The 17th Paralympic series has been held since the 28th in Paris, the capital of France. These matches will be held for a total of 11 days till September 8. 4,400 sportsmen and women are participating in this. 84 players including 32 women are participating in the Indian team.
- Meanwhile, the men's shot put (F46) final was held today. India's Sachin Sarjerao Gilari, who participated in the event, placed 2nd and won the silver medal by throwing a distance of 16.32 meters.
- Tamil Nadu players Mariyappan, Sharadkumar and Saileshkumar participated in the D-63 high jump event for men from E Ndia. Among them, Sharad Kumar won the silver medal by clearing a height of 1.88 meters. Following this, Mariyappan Thangavelu from Tamil Nadu won the bronze after clearing a height of 1.85 meters.
- Athlete Deepti Jeevan won the bronze medal in the women's 400m T20 event at the Paris Paralympics.
- Sundar Singh Gurjar wins bronze medal in men's javelin F46 event at Paris Paralympics 2024.
- Ajit Singh won the silver medal in men's javelin F46 category. With this, India has won a total of 21 medals in the Paralympics so far. A total of 21 medals have been won including 3 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.
