Adishi took oath as the 8th Chief Minister of Delhi
- Arvind Kejriwal, who was the Chief Minister of Delhi, was caught in the liquor policy corruption case and went to jail and is now out on bail. Following this he resigned from his post and dissolved the Delhi Cabinet. After this, Adishi Singh has been selected as the new Chief Minister of Delhi.
- This decision was taken in a consultative meeting of Aam Aadmi Party held a few days ago. It has also been reported that former ministers Saurav Bharadwaj, Kailash Khelat, Gopal Rai and Imran Usain will continue in the new cabinet.
- In addition, two new ministers are said to be appointed. It is said that 7 ministers, including the Chief Minister, will be in full strength in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
- While the Aam Aadmi Party has suggested holding the swearing-in ceremony today, the files related to the new Chief Minister have been sent to the President and permission has been obtained.
- Accordingly, the swearing-in ceremony was held at 4 pm. Adishi (43) took oath as the 8th Chief Minister of Delhi at that time. Lieutenant Governor Saxena administered the oath to Adishi, who was selected as the new Chief Minister. Adishi has been sworn in as the 3rd woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dixit.
- It has been informed that a special session of the Assembly will be held on September 26 and 27. Then Adishi will prove his majority for the government. Till date, Aam Aadmi Party has 61 seats in the Delhi Assembly.
