- Today (21.08.2024) 'Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave - 2024' is being held in Chennai under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.
- Chief Minister Stalin launched 19 new projects which were concluded at the investors conference. Rs. The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for 28 industrial projects worth Rs 51,157 crore.
- In this event, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister D.R.P. Raja, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior government officials participated.

- During Prime Minister Modi's talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who is visiting India, it was decided to increase cooperation between India and Malaysia in the fields of digitization, military defense logistics manufacturing, semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Eight agreements were signed between the two sides on employment and protection of Indian workers. India's UPI has decided to partner with Malaysia's Payment Network (Paynet) for digital transactions.
- Following these talks, 8 agreements have been signed including facilitating the movement of Indian workers to Malaysia and setting up a Tiruvalluvar seat in the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
- Indian Navy and BEML Limited are working together to increase indigenization of marine equipment and systems. This is a major step towards indigenization of key marine engineering equipment of the Indian Navy.
- BEML Limited, a 'Schedule A' company under the Ministry of Defence, and India's leading defense and heavy engineering manufacturing company, has signed an MoU with the Indian Navy on August 20, 2024.
- Officer of the Indian Navy (D&R) Rear Admiral K. An MoU was finalized between Sinivas and Mr. Ajith Kumar Srivastav of Bangalore PEML.
- A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in New Delhi between Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Department of Posts under Union Ministry of Communications to fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India.
- The new units set up across the country under the Prime Minister's Employment Scheme will be directly inspected by the employees of the postal department.
- The Khadi and Rural Industries Commission will train postal employees for this direct verification.
- The Council of Scientific-Industrial Research (CSIR-CSIR) and Lagu Udyog Bharati (LUB) signed an MoU on 21 August 2024 at CSIR headquarters to take CSIR technologies to micro and small entrepreneurs.
- Lagu Udyog Bharati is an all India organization for micro and small enterprises registered in India since 1994. It is an organization with more than 51000 members in more than 575 districts in 27 states of India.
- Through this MoU, 100 technologies / products of CSIR are to be delivered to identified MSMEs within 100 days.
