World Para Athletics Championship Series - Thangavelu wins gold
- The 11th World Para Athletics Championship started in Japan on 17th. About 1,300 para-athletes from various countries including India have participated in this. Competitions are held in a total of 171 categories.
- In the T63 final, Mariyappan stunned by clearing a height of over 1.88m. With this he has created a new record.
