Chief Minister M. K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for an electric car factory in Tuticorin
PM lays foundation stone for several development projects worth Rs 4150 crore at Dwarka, Gujarat- The Global Investors Conference was held in Chennai last month. In this conference various companies signed the agreement in the presence of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.
- According to the Chief Minister, a company called Sonda Win Fast in Thoothukudi will set up an electric car factory in Vietnam. An MoU worth Rs 16,000 crore was signed in the presence of CM Stalin.
- Following this, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin today laid the foundation stone for the factory to be set up by Win Fast Company at Chipkot complex in Chillantham area of Thoothukudi.
- Later, last December, a ceremony was held in Pudukottai area near Thoothukudi to provide relief and welfare assistance to the victims of floods due to heavy rains in Nellai and Thoothukudi districts.
- MP Kanimozhi and Ministers Geethajeevan and Anitha Radhakrishnan DMK attended the foundation laying ceremony of this factory. Heavy police security has been put in place for his visit to Thoothukudi.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth Rs.4150 crore at Dwarka, Gujarat.
- The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the Sudarshan Sethu, Wadnar and Rajkot-Ogha, Rajkot-Jetalsar-Somnath and Jetalsar-Vansjalia rail electrification projects connecting Oga territory and Bad Dwarka.
- Prime Minister laid foundation stone for widening of National Highway-927 Thoraji-Jamkandorna-Kalawad section and installation of process system to remove sulfur compounds from exhaust emissions at Regional Science Center at Jamnagar and Sikka Thermal Power Plant at Jamnagar.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his home state Gujarat today. Prime Minister Modi went to Bad Dwarka Island near Oga and participated in the puja at the Krishna temple and had darshan of Sami.
- Following this, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Sudarshan Sethu Cable Bridge connecting Oga Port and Bad Dwarka. Prime Minister Modi also visited the Dwarkadish temple in Dwarka and offered prayers.
- The Sudarshan Sethu Cable Bridge has been built at a cost of around Rs 980 crore to connect the Oga mainland and Bad Dwarka, an island in the Gulf of Kutch in the Arabian Sea. With a length of about 2.32 km, this bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in India.
- The Sudarsan Setu has a unique design, with verses from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and a pavement decorated with images of Lord Krishna on either side. Solar panels are installed on the upper parts of the pavement, generating one megawatt of electricity.
- The bridge will ease traffic and significantly reduce the time spent by devotees traveling between Dwarka and Bad-Dwarka. Before the bridge was built, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach Bad Dwarka. The bridge will also serve as a major tourist attraction of Devabhoomi Dwarka.
- PM Modi also dedicated the Rajkot-Oga, Rajkot-Jetalchar-Somnath and Jethalchar-Wanjalia rail electrification projects to the nation. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the widening of National Highway No. 927, Thoraji - Jamkanthorna - Kalawad section.
- The annual joint military exercise between India and Japan began on February 25. A total of 80 soldiers, 40 soldiers each from both the countries, are participating in the 2-week military exercise at the Mahajan Maidan in Rajasthan.
- This military exercise is conducted every year as part of India-Japan cooperation. Last time this rehearsal was held in Japan, this time it is being held in India.
- The main objective of this exercise is to improve military cooperation between the two countries. An exhibition of military weapons and equipment will also be held as part of the event.
