India's largest sea bridge - Prime Minister Modi inaugurated
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's largest sea bridge named Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nava Sheva Atal Setu in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Pais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and others participated in the event.
  • It is the longest sea bridge built in India. The foundation stone of the bridge was laid by Prime Minister Modi in December 2016. The sea bridge has been built at a total cost of Rs 17,840 crore and the total length of this bridge is 22 km. The bridge is located in the middle of the sea at a distance of 16.5 km.
  • The bridge provides quick access to Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport. Also, the bridge will reduce travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra
  • It is a continuous effort of the Prime Minister to make the youth an important part of the country's development journey. As another part of this initiative, the Prime Minister inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival (NYF) in Nashik.
  • The National Youth Festival is held every year from January 12 to 16, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Maharashtra is the host state for this year's festival. A developed India Bharat@ 2047: By the youth for the youth is the theme of this year's event.
Aakash missile test success
  • The latest generation Aakash (Aakash NG) missile was successfully test-fired off the coast of Odisha. It has the ability to accurately strike and destroy high-speed unmanned aerial targets at very low altitudes.
  • DRDO successfully test-fired the missile off Odisha's Balasore coast. These missile activities were verified through data collected by radar, telemetry and electro-optical tracking systems installed by ITR Chandipur.
Climate Conference 2024 organized by Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change
  • The Climate Conference 2024, titled “Achieving a Green Transition for India”, was held on 12 January 2024 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. 
  • Organized by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, the event focused on the critical role of the private sector, climate technology startups and institutional investors in mobilizing financial resources, technical capabilities. 
  • It aims to leverage government initiatives, engage citizens and communities, and develop innovative climate services and technologies.
