Tamil Nadu Day Celebration at 42nd India International Trade Fair - Minister Saminathan inaugurated
- In the arena set up by the Department of Press and Public Relations, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stal's pioneering projects such as Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme, Artist Women's Rights Scheme, Innovation Women's Scheme etc. Photographs are displayed about the work done and the achievements of the government.
- The main feature of the display in this arena is that the 'QR Code' system has been installed and facilitated so that the visitors can know the details related to the World Investors Conference to be held in Chennai in January.
- Apart from this, halls have been set up to reflect the important projects of the Tamil Nadu government in various sectors. At the 42nd India International Trade Fair held in Delhi yesterday, Tamil Nadu Minister of Tamil Development and Information MU Saminathan inaugurated the 'Tamil Nadu Day Festival' at the open-air theater.
- On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government Department of Art and Culture, in this program, the popular arts of Bharatanatyam and Kaichilampattam, Karakattam, Wailattam and Kolattam were held in Tamil Nadu.
- Principal Home Commissioner of Tamil Nadu House and Director and Joint Secretary of Press and Public Relations observed. People from various states including Tamils living in Delhi attended the event.
- The special session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly began today (Nov 18) morning with a speech by Speaker Appa. In this, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin proposed a separate resolution. The ministers and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin responded and spoke.
- In the end, the separate resolution brought by the Chief Minister regarding the 10 bills sent back by the Governor was passed in the Legislative Assembly. - Building on the success of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for mobile phones, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi-led Union Government on May 17, 2023 approved the PLI Scheme for IT Computer Equipment - 2.0. The plan covers devices including laptops, tablets, and all-in-one Personal Computers (PCs).
- Applications from 27 computer equipment manufacturers have been approved today for the second phase of the scheme. Under this, IT equipment of famous companies like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo will be manufactured in India.
- A total of around 2 lakh jobs are expected to be created due to this approval. Also, computer equipment worth 3 lakh 50 thousand crore rupees will be produced.
