Dr. Arivoli appointed as Director of School Education
- In May 2021, the post of Director of School Education was abolished in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government has announced that the school education commissioner will now handle the responsibilities for that work.
- This decision was strongly opposed by Tamil Nadu political party leaders. It was criticized that this decision taken by the government in the name of administrative reform would lead to administrative disorder.
- In this case, the post of Director of School Education has been brought back into practice, and Dr. Arivoli has been appointed as its director.
- While Kannapan has been appointed as the Director of Elementary Education Department, Dr. Rameswara Murugan has been appointed as the Secretary of Teacher Selection Board.
- Similarly, Palaniswami has been appointed as Director of Non-School and Adult Education Directorate. Kuppusamy has been appointed as the member secretary of the Tamil Nadu Textbook Pedagogical Works Corporation.
