Adidas becomes the new kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team
- 'Adidas Brand' is the new kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team. The Indian cricket team will play against Australia in the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final wearing jerseys designed and manufactured by new sponsor Adidas.
- It has been reported that Adidas will design and manufacture jerseys, kits and other merchandise for the Indian men's, women's and under-19 cricket teams until March 2028. This has been confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and Adidas CIO Bian Gulden have mutually welcomed the partnership between the two sides.
- Last November 2020, the 15-year kit sponsorship deal with Nike came to an end. BCCI released a new tender for the same. MBL (MBL) joined as the kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team for three years. However earlier MBL roped in the 'killer apparel brand' as the kit sponsor of the Indian team last January. In this context, Adidas is going to continue it.
- The number of domestic air passengers has grown significantly. According to the data provided by various domestic airlines, the number of passengers has reached 503.92 lakh in the current year. This is 42.85% higher than the previous year. 352.75 lakh passengers traveled in the previous year.
- Also, the domestic air transport service has increased by 22.18% in April 2023 compared to April 2022. Only 0.47% of domestic flights were canceled in April 2023. Also passenger complaint rate was low at 0.28 passengers per 10,000 passengers.
- In a ceremony held at the New Delhi Railway Bhawan, 20 locomotives were flagged off by the Minister of Broad Scale Railways Mr. Ashwini Vaishnav to Bangladesh through a video presentation.
- Bangladesh's Railway Minister Mohammad Noorul Islam Sujan participated through video. On this occasion, Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr. A.K. Lahoti, board members, senior officials, Bangladesh delegation were present.
