India ranks 4th in research publications
- India is also among the fastest growing research centers in the world. But it is worrying that this growth is not all research-related, says QS, which monitors research articles. Internationally, research article publications have increased by an average of 22% between 2017 and 2022, according to data intelligence firm SciVal.
- In the same period, India's growth has increased more than 2 times (54%) compared to the international average, the company said. Especially in the field of education, India has made better progress than the advanced western countries. China ranks first in research paper publication with 45 lakhs.
- Similarly, America (44 lakh) is at the 2nd place, Britain (14 lakh) is at the 3rd place, and India (13 lakh) is at the 4th place. If it continues at the same pace, India will soon overtake Britain to take the 3rd place in multidisciplinary research publications.
- Similarly, India has generated 89 lakh citations. Meanwhile, in terms of impact of published research, India ranks 9th in terms of funding and submission of resources. It is noteworthy that 52.6% of research papers in India are related to engineering and technology.

Also, the President has issued a notification transferring Andhra State High Court Judge Pattu Devanand and Telangana State High Court Judge Devaraju Nagarjun as Madras High Court Judges.
- The Union Government has issued an order in this regard. The number of Madras High Court judges has increased to 61 after the appointment of three new judges.
