Ethanol Policy for Alternative Green Fuel 2023 - Released by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin
- Chief Minister M.K.Stalin unveiled ``Ethanol Policy 2023'', which promotes Tamil Nadu as a green economy and an investment hub for low-cost alternative green fuels.
- 'Tamil Nadu Ethanol Policy 2023', 'Tamil Nadu City Gas Distribution Policy 2023', 'Tamil Nadu Freight Transport Policy and Integrated Freight Transport Plan 2023' and 'Tamil Nadu Technical Textiles, Synthetic Fiber from Recycled Materials' prepared by Tamil Nadu Industry, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department., Special Scheme for Synthetic Fiber Fabrics and Garment Products' was held at the Head Secretariat, Chennai yesterday. These were released by Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.
- Industry, Investment Promotion and Trade Minister Thangam Thennarasu, Chief Secretary V. Irayanbu, Industry Secretary S. Krishnan, Additional Secretary M. Pallavi Paldev, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Managing Director Jayashree Muralitharan, Mentoring Institute Executive Director Asha Ajith and others participated.
- A Rs 377 crore pipeline project to transport diesel from India to Bangladesh was launched in 2018. It is the first cross-border fuel pipeline project between the two countries. In this, the Indian government has also accepted the cost of Rs.285 crores for the construction of the pipeline in Bangladesh. Prime Minister Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the pipeline through video conference.
- Currently, the pipeline is 131.5 km long from Numaligarh in Assam to Bangladesh. Through this, up to 10 lakh tonnes of diesel will be distributed per year.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Global Small Grains (Sri Anna) Conference at NASC's Subramaniam Hall, USA IARI Campus, New Delhi. This two-day global conference will hold sessions on all major issues related to small grains (Sri Anna) such as promotion and awareness of small grains among producers, consumers and other stakeholders.
- The value chain development of small grains, health and nutritional aspects of millets, market linkages, research and development etc. will be discussed in this conference.
- The Prime Minister also inaugurated the exhibition and buyer-seller meeting hall. He also issued a commemorative stamp and commemorative coin. Following this, the Prime Minister launched a digital portfolio of Indian Small Grains (Sri Anna) Startups and a Book of Small Grains (Sri Anna) Standards.
- Asia Cup Archery 'League-1' series is held in Chinese Taipei. In the semifinals, the Indian pair fell to Kazakhstan 153-154. In the bronze medal match, the Indian pair met the Philippines' Rachelle and Paul Morton. The Indian pair won the first set 38-37. 76-75 at the end of the second set, then 115-114. In the end, after four sets, the Indian pair won 153-151 and won the bronze medal.
