- கிராம சாலைகள் மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டத்தின் அடிப்படையில், முக்கிய ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியச் சாலைகளை வலுப்படுத்தவும், தரம் உயர்த்தவும் `முதல்வரின் கிராம சாலைகள் மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டம்' என்ற புதிய திட்டத்தை அரசு செயல்படுத்தும்.
- முதல்கட்டமாக 2 ஆண்டுகளில் 10,000 கி.மீ. அளவுக்கு ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியச் சாலைகள், ரூ.4,000 கோடி மதிப்பில் தரம் உயர்த்தப்படும்.
- Based on the Village Roads Development Plan, the government will implement a new scheme called ``Muthalvar's Village Roads Development Plan'' to strengthen and improve the quality of major panchayat union roads.
- 10,000 km in 2 years in the first phase. Panchayat union roads will be upgraded at a cost of Rs.4,000 crore.
