Consultation with ambassadors of 'G-20' countries
- Our country is going to take the leadership of the G-20, a group of major economic countries of the world. India will formally assume the leadership of this organization from December 1. The first consultation meeting was held at Swaraj Deep in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
- On behalf of the central government, its representative will be called 'Sherpa'. According to this, former NITI Aayog Chairman Amitabh Kant has been appointed as the representative of the Central Government.
- He consulted with the representatives of the member countries for India regarding the preparations and plans for the G-20 summit.
- The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been deploying remote sensing satellites in space to predict natural calamities and take precautionary measures. Accordingly, Oceansat-1 and Oceansat-2 satellites were launched in 1999 and 2009 for ocean survey missions. The operational period of Oceansat-1 satellite ended in 2011.
- The Oceansat-2 satellite is unable to receive information due to malfunctioning of some instruments. Therefore, for Earth observation, oceanographic operations, a state-of-the-art OceanSat-3 (EOS-06) satellite was designed by ISRO and planned to be launched by PSLV C-54 rocket.
- The 25-hour and 30-minute countdown to the rocket launch began yesterday. The rocket was launched from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Center in Sriharikota at 11.56 am yesterday.
- EOS-06 launched the satellite 742 km in exactly 17 minutes. At a distance, it successfully positioned itself in the planned orbit.
- Also, after 2 hours, 8 other small satellites were placed in their orbits. This is one of the longest rocket missions undertaken by ISRO.
- The primary satellite, EOS, weighs 1,117 kg. Through this, the color of the sea, surface temperature, wind speed variation, optical changes in the atmosphere can be monitored and data obtained.
- Similarly, INS-2B manufactured by India-Bhutan consortium, Anand Chat of Bengaluru Pixel, Thibold of Hyderabad Dhruva Space, Astrocast of America's Space Flight have been sent for scientific and technical studies.
- A special program was organized in the Supreme Court yesterday on the occasion of Constitution Day. Supreme Court Chief Justice T.Y. Chandrachud, Union Law Minister Kiran Rijiju, Supreme Court Judges, Attorney General R. Venkatramani, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and others participated in it.
- In this event, Prime Minister Modi launched various new initiatives including 'Mobile Phone App'.
- Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the 2-day Borunai Literature Festival in Nellai in a video. Award winning writers, Tamil scholars and school students participated in the function.
- First Literary Festival started in Tirunelveli on the order of Tamil Nadu Government. Ministers Rajakannappan, Anpil Mahesh, Collector Vishnu and others have participated.
- To celebrate the literary traditions of the Tamil language, the government has ordered five literary festivals namely Vaigai, Kaveri, Siruvani and Porunai to be held in Chennai.
- The first festival in Nellai Borunai Literary Festival will be held on November 26 and 27. A total of five halls are set up and programs are held in this Porunai festival.
- Dr. Deepa Malik, Padma Shri, Khel Ratna awardee, India's first women's Paralympic medalist, Indian Paralympic Team President (Honorary Degree), has become the National Ambassador of the TB Free India Movement. He has pledged full support to the movement.
- In March 2018, Deepa Malik expressed her commitment to the TB Free India movement while participating in TB awareness activities at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's pavilion at the 41st India International Trade Fair, inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
- Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), under the Ministry of Defence, has designed the 3rd largest research vessel for the Indian Navy. In a function held today, Mrs. Madhumati Hambiholi, Chairperson, Women's Welfare Association, Southern Region, Indian Navy inaugurated the research vessel.
- The indigenously built research vessel with modern facilities is 110 meters long and 16 meters wide. It is capable of carrying goods weighing about 3,400 tonnes. With this, GRSE has achieved the record of designing the 3rd largest research vessel in a single year.
- It is said that it will play an important role in intensifying the maritime security and surveillance work of the Indian Navy.
- It is noteworthy that the Defense Minister's Award for the year 2022 has been given to GRSE.
