India Announces Additional Rs 40 crore for ASEAN-India Science Fund
- India on Saturday announced an additional contribution of USD 5 million (Rs 40 crore) to the ASEAN-India Science and Technology Fund. ASEAN includes Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Greg Barclay is the president of the ICC
- The ICC meeting was held in Melbourne, Australia. Greg Barclay was unanimously elected as the ICC President following the resignation of Zimbabwe Cricket Board President Dr Tavengwa Mugulani. He will continue in this position for another two years.
- At today's ICC meeting, more than ten of the 17 members supported Barclay's leadership. Secretary Jai Shah attended the meeting on behalf of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He supported Greg Barclay.
- Greg Barclay is a former president of the New Zealand Cricket Association. He was elected as the ICC President for the first time in 2020. His term ends next November. Elections were held in this background.
Union Minister Amit Shah's son Jaysha has been appointed as the finance committee chairman of International Cricket Council (ICC)
- New Zealand's Greg Barclay has been elected as the ICC President by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
- Meanwhile, Union Minister Amit Shah's son Jaisha, who is the secretary of the Cricket Board of India, has been appointed as the finance secretary of the ICC as a powerful post. It is noteworthy that he was already the director during the ICC World Cup in 2015.

- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the renovation of Visakhapatnam railway station at a cost of around Rs 450 crore. The redesigned station will serve 75,000 passengers per day and will enhance passenger experience by offering modern amenities.
- Prime Minister lays foundation stone for modernization and development of Visakhapatnam Fishing Port. The total cost of the project is Rs. 150 crores. The fishing port, after being upgraded and modernized, will double its handling capacity from 150 tonnes to around 300 tonnes per day.
Indo-French Joint Air Exercise Garuda-VII concludes at Jodhpur Air Base
- The 7th Joint Air Exercise Garuda-VII between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the French Air and Space Force (FASF) concluded today (12 November) at the Jodhpur Air Base. The French Air and Space Force's Rafale fighter jet and A-330 multi-role tanker transport aircraft participated in the joint exercise.
- Sukhoi-30, Rafale, Tejas and Jaguar fighter jets participated on behalf of the Indian Air Force. Jaguar fighter jet, military Mi-17 helicopters and newly inducted 'Prasanda' are the Indian Air Force's contributions.
- The Garuda-VII exercise provided an opportunity for the two Air Forces to establish professional interaction and share operational capabilities and experiences.
- As a result of this exercise, the Air Force personnel of both countries explored the techniques of air combat operations and shared experiences. The exercise also created an environment for cultural exchange between the Air Force personnel of the two countries.
