Chandrayaan 2 Discovery of High Sodium on Moon
- Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft detected the presence of sodium on the Moon. This has now given way to a new invention. India's Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft has for the first time mapped the amount of sodium on the Moon using a glass X-ray spectrometer.
- ISRO's UR in Bangalore The Glass Spectrometer was designed at the Rao Satellite Centre. It confirmed the high sodium content of the moon and sent the image. This new discovery by Chandrayaan-2 will help further expand the study of the lunar surface and its interactions.
- The committee was set up under the chairmanship of retired Karnataka High Court Judge Nagamogandas to enhance the existing reservation for the lower castes and tribals living in Karnataka.
- In its study and report to the government, the committee recommended increasing the reservation for SCs from 15 percent to 17 percent and the reservation for tribals from 3 percent to 7 percent.

- Indian Air Force launches new combat uniforms on 90th foundation day The new uniform features a digital camouflage pattern and a different fabric and design. It was released by the Air Force Chief at the Air Force Day Parade in Chandigarh.
- The new uniform is similar to the new digital system introduced by the Army in January this year. The colors of the new IAF uniform are slightly different from the usual ones, designed to suit the working environment of the Air Force.
- It is worth noting that the camouflage pattern currently used by the Air Force for ground operations is similar to that used by the Army in the eighties and nineties.
