'Local Government Day' on November 1 - Government of Tamil Nadu Government Release
- The event, which was not held in the midst of raising awareness about the projects among the rural people, ensuring transparency in all the activities of the government and encouraging people's participation, will again be celebrated as "Local Government Day" on November 1 as a people's movement.
- In this context, according to the announcement of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, the Government of Tamil Nadu has declared November 1 as the Local Government Day again from 2022.
- On behalf of the Central Government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated five projects implemented in Tamil Nadu. Madurai - Theni wide railway line; Tambaram - Chengalpattu Third Railway, flagged off the train service. He laid the foundation stone for six new projects, including the Chennai-Bangalore Expressway. The total value of these is 31 thousand 530 crore rupees.
