Chennai - Mamallapuram East Coast Road Karunanidhi Name - Chief Minister Stalin's announcement at the Highways Coral Festival

  • The 75th Annual Coral Festival of the Tamil Nadu Highways Department was held at the Highway Research Station premises in Chennai Kindi. Participating in this, Chief Minister MK Stalin unveiled the Coral Festival Memorial, unveiled the Festival Flower and the Chief Minister's Road Development Project Logo.
  • The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a Rs. 2,124 crore in 13 districts including Trichy and Madurai. The Chief Minister also initiated 32 road works to convert the two-lane road into four lanes.
  • We are planning to make Tamil Nadu a landless state by 2026 under the Chief Minister's Road Development Plan. The East Coast Road from Chennai to Mamallapuram will be named as 'Muthamizharinjar Kalaignar Karunanidhi Road'. Thus spoke Chief Stalin.
Nand Moolchandani appointed CIA Chief Technical Officer
  • Nand Moolchandani, who is of Indian descent, has been appointed as the Chief Technical Officer (CDO) of the CIA, the US spy agency. It is noteworthy that Napa Iwa was the first to be dug for this position created by the CIA.
  • CIA Director William J. Bones has appointed Nand Moolasanthani, who has more than 25 years of experience in the field of information technology. Prior to that, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Interim Director at the U.S. Department of Defense's Artificial Intelligence Joint Center.
  • Nand Moolchandani graduated from school in New Delhi. She later studied for a Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in New York, a Masters in Science at Stanford University, and a Masters in Public Administration at Howard University.
GST revenue collection in April 2022 increased to an all-time high of Rs 1.68 lakh crore
  • Total GST tax revenue in April 2022 was Rs 1,67,540 crore. This includes Rs 33,159 crore as central GST, Rs 41,793 crore as state GST and Rs 81,939 crore as integrated GST (Rs 36,705 crore on imported goods, including collection and goods, and Rs 857 crore as excise duty), amounting to Rs 10,649 crore.
  • Total GST collection in April 2022 will be higher than ever. This is Rs 25,000 crore more than the GST of Rs 1,42,095 collected last March. The central government has released Rs 33,423 crore to the central GST and Rs 26,962 crore to the state GST from the integrated GST tax.
  • Revenue for April 2022 is 20% higher than the GST revenue for the same month last year. During the month, imports of goods increased by 30%. Revenue from domestic transactions (including import of services) was 17% higher than revenue in the same month last year.
  • For the first time, the total GST collection has crossed Rs 1.5 lakh crore. The total number of e-tickets generated last March was 7.7 crore. This is 13% more than the 6.8 crore e-tickets generated in February, reflecting a rapid recovery in business operations.
