The United States, Britain and Australia have decided to produce a 'hypersonic' missile

  • The United States, Britain and Australia formed the AGAS Security Coalition in September last year to curb the growing military presence in the Pacific Ocean and intensify security operations.
  • China and Russia are engaged in the development of hypersonic missiles that can fly so fast that they cannot be intercepted by any anti-missile weapon.
  • The U.S. military has confirmed that Russia was involved in the test last year. Russia has been using hypersonic missiles in the war in Ukraine.
  • Following this, the leaders of the three countries have decided to produce hypersonic missiles on behalf of the US, British and Australian defense alliance 'Agus'.
The Criminal Procedure Code was passed

  • Accordingly power charging stations should be set up in all areas. The central government has set aside Rs 1,300 crore for this under the 'Pam' scheme.
  • In addition, a number of private companies have announced plans to set up electric vehicle charging stations. Based on this, with an investment of Rs 14,000 crore over the next 3-4 years, more than 48,000 electric vehicle charging stations are to be set up.
  • Most of these devices are imported from China and Taiwan. If these are manufactured locally, the cost of setting up charging stations will be reduced.
