Delhi Jawaharlal Nehru University has appointed a female vice chancellor for the first time

  • JNU is the central university in Delhi. Many of the students who study here are known to be progressive thinkers. Dr. Chandisree Tulipudi Pandit (59), a female professor, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of JNU for the first time.

'Indrathanush' Vaccination Program - Launched by Mansuk Mandavia

Governor approves Lok Ayukta amendment to Kerala State Government
  • The Lok Ayukta is a state-level anti-corruption commission. It is a commission that investigates allegations of corruption and misconduct against government employees.
  • The Governor will, on the advice of the Chief Minister and the Speaker, appoint a Lok Ayukta and two Deputy Lok Ayuktas to inquire into these complaints. If the allegations against the employee are proven, the Lok Ayukta Commission will notify the Governor or the Chief Minister that the particular person is ineligible to serve. The government will accept this and fire them.
  • In this context, the Government of Kerala has proposed legislation to empower and accept the judgment of the Lok Ayukta. The Cabinet had recommended to the Governor to approve this amendment. Currently, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has approved the implementation of the law.
