India win 1000th ODI

• The first ODI between India and West Indies was played in Ahmedabad. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl. The West Indies lost all their wickets for 176 runs in 43.5 overs. Holder played casually and scored a half-century.
• In 32 overs, the Indian team reached the target due to the action of the Indian players. With this, the Indian team, playing in the 1000th ODI, won by a huge margin of 6 wickets. India became the first team in the history of cricket to play in the 1000th ODI yesterday.

Asia's largest animation specialty opens in Bangalore

• Ashwath Narayan, Minister for Information Technology and Biotechnology, inaugurated the largest Specialty Center for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) at Whitefield, Bangalore on behalf of the Government of Karnataka.
• The Center for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) is the largest in Asia. The government of Karnataka has developed it at a cost of Rs 40 crore. India holds 10% of the global animation, visual effects, gaming and comics market. It is targeted to increase this from 20 to 25 by 2027.
