The Minister of Defense dedicated the roads to the country through a video by the Border Roads Company

• The 24 bridges & three roads constructed by the Border Roads Corporation in four states and two Union Territories will be inaugurated on December 28, 2021 from New Delhi by the Minister of Defense, Shri. Rajnath Singh dedicated himself to the country through video.
• Of these 24 bridges, 9 bridges have been constructed in Jammu & Kashmir, 5 each in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, 3 each in Uttarakhand, 1 each in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Of the three roads, two are in Ladakh and the other in West Bengal.
• India's first Class 70 bridge with a 140-foot dual carriageway at an altitude of 11,000 feet at Dokala, Sikkim, has been inaugurated. Similarly, the road at 19,000 feet above sea level in the Umling Canyon area of ​​Ladakh is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
• Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajnath Singh said that the opening of these bridges and roads reflects the Border Roads Company's commitment to strive for the betterment of the border areas.

Rishabh Pant & Mohammad Shami record

He has made 101 dismissals (93 catches and 8 stumpings) in Test cricket through catches and stumpings. He has done this in 26 Test matches. He set the record in a Test match against South Africa.

• Shami has overtaken Indian bowlers Ashwin (10248 balls), Kapil Dev (11066 balls) and Jadeja (11989 balls) for taking 200 wickets in the shortest number of balls.

• Shiv Sahai Singh is a reporter for The West Bengal state section of The Hindu. He had written an article on the loss of ration items to the grassroots people in 2019 by the Jharkhand state government’s digital public distribution system.
• This article explains why Aadhar cards cannot be linked to ration cards and those who do not have Aadhar card can not buy ration items. The article pointed out that mostly tribals were affected by this new digitization project.
• Shivsahai Singh has been nominated for the Ramnath Goenka Award for this article. Shiv Sahai Singh has been nominated for the award under the category 'Discovering the Invisible India'.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurates the Kanpur Metro Rail project

• During his visit to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Metro Rail project. 9 km from IIT Kanpur to Moti Jhel. He started the Metro Rail project up to the far section.
• Prime Minister Modi visited the Kanpur Metro Rail project and traveled from the IIT Metro Station to Geeta Nagar. The total distance of metro rail in Kanpur is 32 km. The project is being constructed at a total cost of Rs 11,000 crore.

Tamil Nadu ranks first in national level fishing

• Gujarat topped the national fishing list last year. According to the Union Marine Fisheries Research Survey, Tamil Nadu ranks first in current fishing. The length of the Tamil Nadu coast is 1,071 km. The length of the Ramanathapuram district beach is 237 km. There are more than 1,600 yachts and more than 5,700 country boats fishing in the district.
• 7.18 lakh tonnes were caught in Tamil Nadu in 2018 and 7.75 lakh tonnes in 2019. Tamil Nadu has overtaken Gujarat to catch 10 lakh tonnes of fish in 2020-21. Ramanathapuram district has the highest catch of 2.64 lakh tonnes of fish in the state.

Corbivex and Covovax corona vaccines approved in India

• The Government of India has approved the drugs Corbivex of Biological-e and Covovax of the Serum Institute of India. Molnupiravir, an anti-viral drug used to treat corona virus, has also been approved for emergency use.
• This approval is based on the recommendation of a panel of experts from the Federal Drug Quality Control System.
