An allocation of Rs. 300 crore for 14 departments - Government of Tamil Nadu Government Release
- A seven-member team led by Union Home Secretary Rajiv Sharma visited Tamil Nadu to inspect the flood-affected areas. It has also requested the Central Government to provide flood relief on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government.
- In this situation, the government has allocated Rs 300 crore for 14 departments to repair the flood damage. The Tamil Nadu government has allocated Rs 132 crore to the Chennai corporation and issued an order.
- Governor RN Ravi has appointed new Vice Chancellors to Tanjore Tamil University and Tamil Nadu University of Physical Education and Sports.

- Chief Minister Stalin has launched the Rs. 300 crore 'Namakku Namme' project in Salem in all the corporations, municipalities and municipalities in Tamil Nadu.

- The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has teamed up with a private company to develop an upgraded Pinnacle rocket system. The test of this rocket system has been going on for the last 3 days in Pokhran, Rajasthan.
- Of these, 24 Pinnacle rockets were launched for various distances. The Pinnacle rocket is launched from the ground. The existing Pinnacle MK-1 rocket system will destroy the 40 km range target and the Pinnacle 2 type 60 km range target.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Rs 9,800 crore "Saryu Nahar National Project" (water canal project) in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh. The total cost of the project is Rs. 9800 crore and Rs. 4600 crore has been allocated for this in the last 4 years alone.
- The project includes a project to connect the five rivers Kakara, Sarayu, Rapti, Panganga and Rohini. The project will irrigate 14 lakh hectares of land.

- The 5th phase of the Prime Minister's Kareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended for 4 months till March 2022. A total of Rs 1,72,358.13 crore has been spent under this scheme till December 6 in the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22.
- A total of 75987138.23 MT of foodgrain has been allocated under this scheme. 34,35,163.56 MT of foodgrains were allocated to Tamil Nadu. Of this, 22,05,638 metric tonnes of cereals have been distributed. 10, 283.81 crore was spent for this. A total of 364.69 lakh people have benefited from this.
- The food processing sector plays an important role in the Indian economy. However, the sector is facing some major challenges. The draft National Food Processing Policy has outlined strategies to address these challenges, including supply chain, infrastructure, and minimal processing technology gap.
- This policy leads to integration of services provided by various Ministries and Departments. Key features of this policy include significantly increasing investment in strengthening the supply chain infrastructure and expanding the processing capacity of perishables.
- Under the National Health Plan, the federal government provides financial and technical support to strengthen hospitals.
- Assistance is provided under the National Health Program for maternal health, child health, adolescent health, family planning, global immunization program, major diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, dengue, kala azar, and leprosy.
- Janani Sisu Suraksha Program, Rashtriya Pal Swasthya Scheme, Free Medicines Scheme, Free Trial Services, Mobile Medical Facilities, Distance Medicine Services, Ambulance Services, National Dialysis Scheme etc. are implemented in all the States / Union Territories with the support of the National Health Scheme. - The Ayushman Bharat Health Project has established more than 80,000 health centers across the country. Under the National Health Plan, the Central Government has provided Rs.1522.71 crore to Tamil Nadu in the financial year 2020-21.
- During the Corona period, as Anganwadi Centers were closed across the country, supplementary food items were distributed to the beneficiaries once in 15 days by the Anganwadi staff and assistants to ensure continued availability of nutritional support.
- The Central Government has provided Rs. 12882.11 crore to provide food security assistance to the States and Union Territories. A further 34.45 MT of food grains were allocated. In addition, the states and union territories contributed a minimum of Rs 5826.96 crore. Through this 11.80 crore children in 11.20 lakh schools in 2020-21 have benefited.
