Rs 35,000 crore investment in 22 districts in Tamil Nadu - Chief Minister Stalin's speech at the Coimbatore Investors Conference

• The Tamil Nadu Investors Conference has been held in Coimbatore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister MK Stalin. Various agreements were signed at this conference in the presence of MK Stalin.
• 52 MoUs worth Rs 34,723 crore have been signed. Upcoming projects through these 52 MoUs are expected to provide employment to 74,835 people.
• Ultra Tech is planning to set up cement factories at Karur, Thoothukudi and Ranipettai. Dalmia is set to launch a cement mill at Virudhunagar, Chengalpattu, Coimbatore. TVS Motor is planning to set up an electric vehicle plant in Krishnagiri.

Rs 2,236 crore sanctioned for Air Force modernization

• The Military Procurement Council has approved projects worth 2222 crore rupees to purchase equipment for the modernization and operation of the Air Force. This includes developing software that enhances the communications capability of the launch of the Jihad-7C spacecraft for Air Force service.
• Earlier this month, Rs 7,965 crore was approved for the purchase of 12 light helicopters for the Army.
