A 4-year-old Indian boy achieves the feat of reaching the basement camp of Mount Everest

  • Shweta Kolecha and Gaurav Kolecha, a couple of Indian descent, lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. They have a 4 year old son named Advik. Advik, who has been training, has set a record by reaching the base camp of Mount Everest, the world's tallest mountain. 
  • It started raining on October 8 and reached its base at an altitude of 5,364 km on the 6th. Advik is proud to be the youngest person to reach Everest Basement Camp from Asia.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates construction of Tribal Heroes Museum in Manipur
  • The Ministry of Tribal Affairs of the Government of India has approved the project at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore. The state cabinet had decided to set up a museum in the village of Luangkao in the Tamenglong district, the birthplace of the famous freedom fighter Queen Caitlinlu.
  • The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been celebrating the Amirtha Mahotsav of Liberation and the Tribal Honors Day launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from November 15. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday inaugurated the construction work of the Rani Kaithinliyu Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in Manipur.
  • The event was attended by Manipur Chief Minister Brian Singh and Central Tribal Welfare Minister Ajun Munda. Queen Caitlinlu was born on January 26, 1915, in the village of Luangkao in the Tamenglong District of Manipur.
  • He joined Jatonang at the age of 13 and became a fighter against the British. After Jadonong was hanged, he assumed leadership of the Gaitinliu movement.

India's economic growth to be 8.1% - SBI

Similarly, economic growth for the current financial year has increased to 9.3-9.6 per cent from 8.5-9 per cent in the previous session, the SBI report said.
  • The economy grew by 20.1 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal. At this point, economic growth will be 9.5 percent in fiscal 2022; 7.9 percent in the second quarter; 6.8 percent in the third quarter; The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has forecast 6.1 per cent growth in the fourth quarter.
Captain Abhinandan Vardhaman received the 'Veer Chakra' award
  • Abhinandan Vardhaman, the Wing Commander, operated the MiG-21 fighter jet, which was shot down by Pakistan's F-16 fighter jet in support of the terrorists. Later, it was announced that Abhinandan would be awarded the Veer Chakra in recognition of his bravery. He was recently promoted to Group Captain in the Air Force.

Agreement signed between NIT Trichy and C-DAC Trivandrum to establish Research Center on Emergency Response Assistance System
  • (C-DAC-D) is the primary research and development body of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, Government of India.
  • C-DAC is responsible for developing a comprehensive solution for the implementation of 'One India One Emergency Number 112' for the Emergency Response Assistance System (ERSS) through its long association with the Police in the development of crisis call response management systems across the country. 
  • C-DAC-D has been selected by the Union Home Ministry and has been appointed by C-DAC-D as the complete solution provider for the implementation of ERSS-112 across the country.
  • Accordingly, C-DAC-D ERSS-112 has developed the primary solution as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Currently C-DAC-D's ERS-112 installation process is completed in all States and Union Territories.
  • Now, the Government of India plans to modernize ERSS-112 as a next-generation improvement solution that is compatible with NG-911 systems in the United States and Canada in performance and intelligence.
