Vallalar's birthday will be observed on October 5 as 'Personal Mercy Day' - Chief Minister MK Stalin's announcement
- Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced that October 5, Vallalar's birthday, will be observed as 'Personal Mercy Day'. Ramalinga Adigalar alias Arutprakasa Vallalar was born on 5.10.1823 in Marudur, 10 miles from Chidambaram in Cuddalore district.
- He lived a life of grace alone. He founded the Reconciliation Pure Sanctuary, signifying that the truth in all beliefs is the same. He raised the Satyanarayana Sabha in Vadalur. He sang 'I withered whenever I saw a withered crop' and established the Satyadharma Road to alleviate the hunger of the people. The stove he lit continues to burn to this day and fills the stomachs of hungry people.
- He wrote prose for the text of the petition and the morality of charity. The collection of songs sung by him is called Thiruvarutha. It is divided into 6 periods. Thiruvarutha said in the sixth edition, I agree with the position of any religion and all religions.
- He founded the Samarasa Sutta Sanmarkka Satya Sangam and established the Satya Darumasala and the Siddhi Complex. He lived as a doctor who eliminated hunger. The light of spiritual oneness called Taniperunkaruna Arutperunjsothi still removes ignorance and feeds love.
National Road Safety Board
- Announcement has been issued for setting up of National Road Safety Board. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced the establishment of the National Road Safety Board with its regulations.
- The rules specify the structure of the Board, the eligibility of the Chairman and members, the selection process, the tenure, the procedure for resignation and dismissal, the powers and functions of the Board, and the Board Meetings.
- The head office of the Board should be in the National Capital Region. The Board may establish offices elsewhere in India. The Board shall consist of a Chairman to be appointed by the Central Government and not less than three and not more than seven members.
- The Board is responsible for road safety, adoption of innovations and new technology, and regulation of traffic and motor vehicles.
Azadi @ 75 - New Urban India - Changing the Urban Map 'Seminar launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated a seminar and exhibition in Lucknow titled 'Azadi @ 75-New Urban India: Transforming the Urban Map'. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Hardeep Puri, Mahendranath Pandey, Kaushal Kishore, Governor of Uttar Pradesh Mrs. Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath were present on the occasion.
- The Prime Minister handed over the keys in an online program to 75,000 travelers under the Prime Minister’s Urban Housing (PMOY-U) program in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. He initiated / laid the foundation of 75 urban development projects in Uttar Pradesh under the Bolivar Cities Movement and the Amrut Project:
- Flagged off 75 buses under the FAM-II scheme to seven cities - Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Jhansi and Ghaziabad. He published the Coffee Desk book, which covers 75 projects implemented under various key initiatives of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
- The Prime Minister also announced the setting up of Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee seat at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in Lucknow.
