PM's Rs 100 lakh crore power plan approved by Union Cabinet
- The Union Cabinet has approved the 'PM, Kathi Shakti National Master Plan', a joint initiative of various departments to coordinate the development of infrastructure facilities. In his speech on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of the country, he said that the ‘P.M. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the implementation of the 'Kathi Shakti National Master Plan'.
- In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 13th unveiled a master plan called the Master Plan, which will accelerate the pace of infrastructure development and streamline work.
- The project was approved by the Union Cabinet. An empowered committee of secretaries comprising secretaries of 18 departments, headed by cabinet secretaries, is to be set up to implement the scheme.
- A group called 'Multi Model Network Planning Group', also known as NPG, will be formed under the leadership of secretaries from various departments. The team will be assisted by a technical cooperation team from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The work carried out by them will be reviewed and monitored by a team of authorized secretaries.
- The 66th Railway Week Award Ceremony was held at the Southern Railway, Chennai, ICF, Bill. Praised. Chennai Division for Outstanding Work in the Business and Vigilance Division; Madurai division awarded for excellence in surgery, medicine, human resource planning, language training, Thiruvananthapuram division for excellence in signal and telecommunication and electrical safety.

- Corona vaccination in India began last January across the country. In the last 9 months so far 100 crore corona vaccines have been given across the country. India, next to China, has a record 100 crore vaccines.
- Of these, 75 percent have been vaccinated for the first time and more than 31 percent have been vaccinated twice. World Health Organization (WHO) President Tetros Adanom has congratulated India on the introduction of 100 crore corona vaccines.

- In Tamil Nadu, 79 percent of those surveyed said they were satisfied with Stalin's rule. Only 12 percent said they were not satisfied with his performance. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uttam Thackeray is the second most influential Chief Minister after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is third, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is fourth and Assam Chief Minister Hemant is fifth.
