Contract for the BharatNet project
- Tamil Nadu 'Pipernet' is to implement a project to provide high speed internet service to 12 thousand 525 village panchayats in Tamil Nadu through 'fiber optic cord' at a cost of Rs. 1,815.32 crore.
- Through this project, at least one GPS, level 'Internet' will be provided to all village panchayats. To this end, Tamil Nadu Pipernet has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITI and L&T to implement the 'BharatNet' project.
- In 2019, the United Arab Emirates launched a 10-year Golden Visa program to honor celebrities who excel in various fields internationally. Various celebrities including Malayalam actor Mammootty and actor Mohanlal have got this visa. In this position playback singer Chitra has obtained the Golden Visa of the United Arab Emirates.
- Prime Minister Modi held consultations with international oil experts and officials via video conferencing. Prime Minister Modi held consultations with international oil experts and officials on video conferencing on issues in the oil companies, identification of clean efficient energy resources and implementation of Green Hydrogen economic resources.
- Kushinagar International Airport will be operational from today to coordinate Buddhist pilgrimage sites. The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. Sri Lankan Minister Namal Rajapaksa and more than 100 Sri Lankan Buddhist monks attended the event. The Sri Lankan flight they arrived on was the first international flight to Kushinagar.
- Representatives from 12 countries also attended the opening ceremony of Kushnagar International Airport. Namal Rajapaksa met Prime Minister Modi during the event. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi released a Sinhala translation of the Bhagavad Gita.
