Gold for India in Paralympic Badminton
- Pramod Bhagat (33) of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, defeated Daniel 21-14, 21-17 in the final. This is India's 4th gold in the Paralympics. Similarly, India has won another medal in badminton. India's Manoj Sarkar wins bronze
- Meanwhile, in the bronze medal match, Manoj Sarkar defeated Japan's Taisuke 20-22, 21-13. With this, India has won 17 medals including 4 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze.
- In the Paralympic sniper event, India's Manish Nawal (19) won gold and Singraj Adana (39) won silver in the P4 Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 category.
- In the end I won the gold with a Paralympic record of 218.2 points. Adana captured the silver with 216.7 points. Russia's Soke Malishev won bronze with 196.8 points. The world record for this category is still held by me.
- After the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly convened, Chief Minister MK Stalin issued various announcements under Rule 110. In it the entry tax on cotton is abolished by 1 per cent at the request of entrepreneurs and weavers.
- He said the entry tax is being abolished in view of the workers who depend on the weaving industry. He also said that the 1 per cent repeal of the entry tax on cotton would be introduced in the current assembly session.
- More than eight lakh houses, schools, hospitals and offices were destroyed in a powerful earthquake in 2015 in neighboring Nepal. More than 9,000 people were trapped in the rubble. In this context, agreements were signed between India and Nepal to rebuild the structures damaged by the earthquake.
- According to the agreements signed between the Embassy of India and the National Reconstruction Authority of Nepal, 14 cultural heritage buildings and 103 health construction projects in various parts of the country are to be rebuilt at a cost of Rs 263 crore.
