'Fortune' List - SBI
- In the current year's Fortune Global 500 list, Reliance Industries has slipped 59 places to 155th position from last year. SBI, meanwhile, moved up 19 places to 205th position. In the first place is Walmart, in the second place is the State Grid Corporation of China and in the third place is Amazon. As of March 31, the companies are ranked in terms of total revenue.
- Online money transfer has increased significantly during the corona epidemic. The Central Government has implemented an e-money transfer facility called UPI.
- The federal government has also introduced a mobile processor called 'Beam' for online money transfer. As a next step, Prime Minister Modi launched the e-Rupee facility through video conferencing at a function to further facilitate money transfer.
- The e-Rupee scheme has been jointly developed by the National Exchange Corporation (NPCI), the Federal Ministry of Financial Services, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the National Health Commission.
- E-Rupee is a new method of digital payment, cashless, with no direct human contact. This will be an electronic proof based on the 'QR' code or SMS. Only the mobile phone number of the user is required under this scheme.
