Olympic Badminton - Bronze medalist PV Sindhu
- The competition for the bronze medal in the women's badminton category at the Olympics was held today. In this, PV Sindhu of India and Hibi Jia of China clashed.
- India's PV Sindhu easily won the first set 21-13 in a very aggressive match. But the two fought hard to capture the next set.
- Thus the second set went briskly. But PV Sindhu, who played brilliantly, defeated the Chinese player 21-15. Following this, he won a bronze medal in badminton at the Tokyo Olympics and added pride to India.
- Sailesh Jejurikar (54) has been appointed CEO (COO) of Procter & Gamble (P&G). This makes him the first Indian to hold this post.

- One lakh 16 thousand 393 crore rupees has been collected as GST tax for the month of July. Of this, Union GST is Rs 22,197 crore, State GST is Rs 28,541 crore and Combined GST is Rs 57,864 crore (Rs 815 crore with import duty).
- This is an increase of 33% over July last year. In July last year, it collected only Rs 87,422 crore. Tax revenue on imported goods is also 4% higher than last year (32%).
