India wins silver at Paralympics
- Pavina Ben lost to the Chinese player in the final of the Table Tennis 4 Division at the Tokyo Paralympics. In the final, he lost to Chinese player Zhou Ying 3-0 in a set. Following this, Pavina Ben Patel won the silver medal. This is India's first medal at the Tokyo Paralympics
- In 2015, the Department of Defense contracted to purchase seven patrol vessels from L&T for the Coast Guard. Accordingly, 6 ships have already been delivered. In this case, the 7th patrol vessel 'ICG Vigraha' has been handed over to the Coast Guard. The dedication ceremony was held at the Chennai port.
- Defense Minister Rajnath Singh dedicated the ship 'Vigraha' at a ceremony presided over by the Director General of the Coast Guard K. Natarajan. The Vigraha patrol vessel is 98 meters long and 15 meters wide. Weight 2,200 tons. It is capable of traveling 5,000 nautical miles at a speed of 26 nautical miles per hour.
