Discovery near Tirupur in the 17th century

  • The 5th monthly fund of the Revenue Deficit Grant for the year 2021-22 has been released. The grant was made on the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission to close the gap in the revenue accounts of the states.
  • Funds have been released to 17 states including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Meghalaya and Assam. Tamil Nadu received Rs 183.67 crore in the 5th installment and a total of Rs 918.33 crore.
  • Andhra Pradesh Rs 7190.42 crore, Assam Rs 2656.67 crore, Haryana Rs 55.00 crore, Himachal Pradesh Rs 4270.42 crore, Karnataka Rs 679.58 crore, Kerala Rs 8287.92 crore, Manipur Rs 1051.67 crore and Meghalaya. The state has allocated Rs 532.92 crore.
  • Mizoram Rs 745.83 crore, Nagaland Rs 1898.75 crore, Punjab Rs 4200.42 crore, Rajasthan Rs 4115.83 crore, Sikkim Rs 282.50 crore, Tripura Rs 1894.17 crore, Uttarakhand Rs 3223 crore and West Bengal Rs. Rs.7336.25 crore has been allocated. A total of Rs 49,355.00 crore has been allocated for 17 states.
