Mr. M.A.J. Vinoth Assumes Charge as Deputy Director General (Southern Region) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
- Mr. M.A.J. Vinoth has assumed charge as the Deputy Director General (Southern Region) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Mr. M.A.J. Vinoth joined the Bureau of Indian Standards as a Scientist-B in October 1996.
- Over a career spanning nearly 30 years, he has held various key positions across different operational areas of the organization. Prior to assuming the role of Deputy Director General (Southern Region), he served as the Senior Director and Head of the BIS Southern Regional Laboratory (SRL) in Chennai.
- During his tenure at BIS, Mr. M.A.J. Vinoth has held several significant responsibilities. In addition to serving as the Head of the Lucknow and Vijayawada branch offices, he has led key operational departments at the BIS headquarters, including MARKS-I (handling the ISI Mark scheme) and MARKS-II (handling Registration and the Compulsory Registration Scheme - CRS).
- His extensive experience across diverse domains such as certification, registration, conformity assessment, laboratory services, and the administration of regional and branch offices has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the various operational facets of BIS.
