• Government hospital services are now available at your fingertips. The Tamil Nadu government's new initiative, the "NalamAI" WhatsApp chatbot service, goes live today. 
• Consequently, the public can now book medical appointments (OP) and complete one-time registration for government hospitals from the comfort of their homes.
• Simply send a message saying "HI" to the number 96192 22999 on WhatsApp. You will be prompted to select your preferred language—either English or Tamil. 
• It immediately greets you: "Welcome to NalamAI (TN-NHM)! I can assist you with registration, doctor's prescriptions, test reports, health ID cards, and locating nearby hospitals."
• To start the service, you will be prompted to log in; simply enter your mobile number. You can obtain an Outpatient (OP) slip for government hospitals, allowing you to visit the hospital and consult a doctor directly. Additionally, by sharing your location, you can view details about nearby government hospitals right within WhatsApp.
• Launched today on a trial basis in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, this initiative is set to expand statewide soon. 
• A government statement announced that, under the Chief Minister's guidance, the Department of Health and Family Welfare is launching the "NalamAI" WhatsApp chatbot service designed for interactive communication to ensure easy public access to government medical services.
