Pralhad Joshi Assumes Charge as Union Education Minister
- Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union Education Minister yesterday following intensified protests by the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (a satirical reference to the opposition).
- After President Droupadi Murmu accepted his resignation, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi was assigned the additional responsibility of serving as the new Education Minister.
- Subsequently, Pralhad Joshi assumed office today. He then held his first review meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Education.
