G7 Summit 2026
- Leaders of the G7 nations have gathered in France to discuss major global challenges, including the Ukraine issue and the historic agreement between the United States and Iran.
- The group comprises Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union.
- In addition to them, leaders from non-G7 nations—Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, and Kenyan President William Ruto—are also attending the summit, having accepted special invitations extended by French President Emmanuel Macron.
- Upon his arrival at the venue of the 52nd G7 summit in Aix-les-Bains, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron with a handshake and a warm embrace.
- Inside the summit venue, Prime Minister Modi met with US President Donald Trump. The two shook hands, and President Trump gestured his friendship by patting Prime Minister Modi on the shoulder.
