Mahesh Kumar Agarwal Appointed as Tamil Nadu's New DGP
- Mahesh Kumar Agarwal has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) for Tamil Nadu. A 1994-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Mahesh Kumar Agarwal has served in key investigative agencies, including the CBI and CBCID.
- Mahesh Kumar Agarwal cleared the IPS examination and became an officer at the young age of 22.
- Union Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, participated in the second-day session of the 'National Agriculture Conference – Kharif Campaign 2026,' held at Pusa, New Delhi.
- He held comprehensive discussions regarding the holistic development of Indian agriculture with state agriculture ministers, senior officials, scientists, and farmers.
- He emphasized that farmer-centric measures are now essential to accelerate agricultural growth. Union Ministers of State for Agriculture, Mr. Ramnath Thakur and Mr. Bhagirath Choudhary, also attended this conference. Agriculture ministers and officials from various states participated in the event, including Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister Mr. R. Vinoth; Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Mr. Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo; Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Mr. Surya Pratap Shahi; and Gujarat Agriculture Minister Mr. Jitubhai Savjibhai Vaghani.
