• 2025ம் ஆண்டு சாக்திய அகாடமி விருது / SAHITYA AKADEMI AWARD 2025: இந்திய மொழிகளில் சிறந்த படைப்புக்காக வழங்கப்படும் உயரிய விருது சாகித்ய அகாடமி. கவிதை, நாவல், சிறுகதை, இலக்கிய ஆய்வுகள் அடிப்படையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருதுகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
• விருதுக்குத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படும் எழுத்தாளர்களுக்குச் சிறப்புச் சான்றிதழுடன் கூடிய ஒரு லட்ச ரூபாய் ரொக்கப் பரிசும் பொன்னாடையும் வழங்கி கௌரவிக்கப்படுவது வழக்கம். 
• தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தின் நீண்ட கால வரலாற்றையும் அதன் பரிணாம வளர்ச்சியையும் மிகத் துல்லியமாகப் பதிவு செய்ததற்காக இந்த நூல் தற்போது அகாதெமியால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• 2025-ம் ஆண்டு சாக்திய அகாடமி விருதுக்கான எழுத்தாளர்களைத் தேர்வு செய்ய அதன் நிர்வாக குழு கூட்டம் டெல்லியில் கடந்த டிசம்பர் 18-ந் தேதி நடைபெற்றது. இதில் விருதுக்கான எழுத்தாளர்கள் யார் என்பது விவாதிக்கப்பட்டு இறுதி செய்யப்பட்டது.
• இந்த நிலையில், `தமிழ்ச் சிறுகதையின் தடங்கள்' என்ற நூலுக்காக, எழுத்தாளர் ச.தமிழ்ச்செல்வனுக்கு சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

• SAHITYA AKADEMI AWARD 2025: The Sahitya Akademi Award is the highest honor bestowed upon outstanding literary works in Indian languages. These awards are presented annually across various categories, including poetry, novels, short stories, and literary studies.
• It is customary to honor the writers selected for the award with a cash prize of one lakh rupees, a golden shawl, and a special citation. This particular book has now been selected by the Akademi for its meticulous documentation of the long-standing history and evolutionary trajectory of Tamil literature.
• A meeting of the Sahitya Akademi's Executive Board was held in Delhi on December 18 to select the writers for the 2025 awards. During this meeting, the candidates for the awards were deliberated upon and finalized.
• In this context, the Sahitya Akademi Award has been announced for writer S. Tamilselvan for his book titled *Tamizh Sirukathaiyin Thadangal* (The Traces of the Tamil Short Story).
