Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar dies in plane crash
- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's private jet crashed this morning while attempting to land at Baramati airport in Pune district. The private jet, operated by VSR Ventures Private Limited, was a medium-sized business jet of the 'Bombardier Learjet' type, approximately 16 years old. The aircraft departed from Mumbai airport at 8:10 AM for Baramati.
- According to flight data, the aircraft reached Baramati around 8:30 AM and aborted its first landing attempt due to poor visibility. During the second landing attempt at precisely 8:45 AM, the aircraft reportedly lost stability and experienced severe technical malfunctions.
- The plane veered off the runway and crashed into a rock near the beginning of runway number 11, immediately catching fire and exploding.
