• அணுசக்தித் துறையின் 2025-ம் ஆண்டு செயல்பாடுகள் மற்றும் சாதனைகள் / KEY ACHIEVEMENTS OF DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY IN 2025: அணு மின் உற்பத்தி, அணுசக்தி திறன் மேம்பாடு, ரேடியோ-ஐசோடோப் உற்பத்தி, ஆராய்ச்சி உலைகளை உருவாக்கி இயக்குதல், பல்வேறு துறைகளில் கதிர்வீச்சு தொழில்நுட்ப தீர்வுகளைப் பயன்படுத்துதல் போன்ற தனது பணிகளை அணுசக்தித் துறை திறம்படச் செய்து வருகிறது. இந்தத் துறை தேசியப் பாதுகாப்பிற்கும் பங்களிக்கிறது.

2025-ம் ஆண்டில் இத்துறையின் சில முக்கிய செயல்பாடுகளும் சாதனைகளும்

• ராஜஸ்தானில் 4 அலகுகளைக் கொண்ட மஹி பன்ஸ்வாரா அணுமின் நிலையத்திற்கு 2025 செப்டம்பர் 25 அன்று பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி அடிக்கல் நாட்டினார்.
• ராஜஸ்தானில் உள்ள 7-வது பிரிவு, வடக்குப் பகுதி மின் கட்டமைப்புடன் இணைக்கப்பட்டு வணிக ரீதியான செயல்பாட்டைத் தொடங்கியது.
• இந்திய அணுமின்சக்திக் கழகமான என்பிசிஐஎல், வரலாற்றில் முதல் முறையாக ஒரே நிதியாண்டில் 50 பில்லியன் யூனிட்கள் உற்பத்தி செய்து சாதனை படைத்தது.
• 10 அழுத்தப்பட்ட கன நீர் அணு உலை நிலையங்களுக்கான திட்டத்தின் முதல்கட்ட பணிகளுக்கு அணுசக்தி ஆணையம் ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
• பீகார் மாநிலம் முசாபர்பூரில் உள்ள 150 படுக்கைகள் கொண்ட ஹோமி பாபா புற்றுநோய் மருத்துவமனை பிரதமரால் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது.
• செமிகண்டக்டர் (குறைக்கடத்தி) பயன்பாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்ற முதல் மின்னணு-தர போரான்-11 செறிவூட்டல் வசதியை தால்ச்சரில் அணுசக்தித் துறை அமைத்துள்ளது.
• ஆகஸ்ட் 2025-ல், 18-வது சர்வதேச வானியல், வானியற்பியல் மாநாட்டை அணுசக்தித் துறை நடத்தியது. இதில் 64 நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த 300-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்களும் 140 உறுப்பினர்களும் பங்கேற்றனர்.
• குஜராத்தின் காக்ரபரில் உள்ள உள்நாட்டு 700 மெகாவாட் ஹைட்ராலிக் நீர்மின் நிலையத்தின் முதல் இரண்டு அலகுகள் வழக்கமான செயல்பாட்டிற்கான அணுசக்தி ஒழுங்குமுறை வாரியத்தின் உரிமத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ளன.
• மத்தியப் பிரதேசத்தின் இந்தூரில் உள்ள எலக்ட்ரான் கற்றை அடிப்படையிலான கிருமி நீக்கம் செய்யும் அமைப்பானது, ஐஎஸ்ஓ தரநிலைகளுக்கு இணங்க மருத்துவ சாதன உற்பத்தியாளர்களுக்கு மின்-கற்றை கிருமி நீக்க சேவைகளைத் தொடர்ந்து வழங்கி வருகிறது. 
• 2025 செப்டம்பரில், இந்த நிறுவனம், 1.53 கோடி மருத்துவ சாதனங்களின் கிருமி நீக்க செயல்பாடுகளை வெற்றிகரமாக முடித்தது. இங்கு கிருமி நீக்கம் செய்யப்பட்ட மருத்துவ சாதனங்கள் ஜெர்மனி, இங்கிலாந்து, ஸ்பெயின், பிரான்ஸ், பெல்ஜியம், இத்தாலி, நெதர்லாந்து, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து, ஆஸ்திரியா, தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா, இந்தோனேசியா, போர்ச்சுகல், செக் குடியரசு, ரஷ்யா உள்ளிட்ட 35-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்படுகின்றன.
• அணுசக்தித் துறையின் கீழ் செயல்படும் இந்திய மின்னணுவியல் கழகம், தேசிய பாதுகாப்பை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு, அக்னி ஏவுகணை அமைப்பிற்கான ஒருங்கிணைந்த பாகங்களை வெற்றிகரமாக உருவாக்கித் தயாரித்துள்ளது.
• விண்வெளித் திட்டங்களுக்கான நியோபியத்தின் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்வதற்காக விண்வெளித் துறையின் விக்ரம் சாராபாய் விண்வெளி மையத்துடனான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் அடிப்படையில் நியோபியம் தெர்மிட் உற்பத்தி வசதி தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• இந்த ஆலையில் இருந்து முதலாவது நியோபியம் ஆக்சைடு வெற்றிகரமாக தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு விண்வெளித் துறை செயலாளரிடமும், விண்வெளி ஆணையத் தலைவரிடமும் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• தால்ச்சரில் உள்ள போரான் பரிமாற்ற வடிகட்டுதல் ஆலையில், 99.8%-க்கும் அதிகமான தூய்மையுடன் (குறைக்கடத்தி தரம்) போரான்-11 ஐ செறிவூட்டுவதில் ஒரு குறிப்பிடத்தக்க மைல்கல் எட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• திருச்சியில் உள்ள தேசிய வாழை ஆராய்ச்சி மையத்துடன் இணைந்து, விரைவாக முதிர்ச்சியடையும் மரபணு மாற்றம் பெற்ற வாழை வகை உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• தனியார் துறையிலும், மாநில அரசுத் துறைகளிலும் காமா கதிர்வீச்சு செயலாக்க வசதிகளை அமைப்பதற்காக 17 புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தங்கள் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்டுள்ளன. 2025-ம் ஆண்டில் அத்தகைய 6 வசதிகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதனால் நாட்டில் செயல்படும் அத்தகைய வசதிகளின் மொத்த எண்ணிக்கை 40 ஆக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.

• KEY ACHIEVEMENTS OF DEPARTMENT OF ATOMIC ENERGY IN 2025: The Department of Atomic Energy is effectively performing its functions like nuclear power generation, nuclear capacity development, radio-isotope production, construction and operation of research reactors, and application of radiation technology solutions in various sectors. The department also contributes to national security.

Some of the major activities and achievements of the department in the year 2025

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the 4-unit Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Plant in Rajasthan on 25th September 2025.
• Unit 7 in Rajasthan was connected to the Northern Power Grid and started commercial operation.
• Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCI) has achieved a record of producing 50 billion units in a single financial year for the first time in its history.
• The Atomic Energy Commission has approved the first phase of the project for 10 pressurized heavy water nuclear reactors.
• The 150-bed Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Muzaffarpur, Bihar was inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
• The Department of Atomic Energy has set up the first electronic-grade Boron-11 enrichment facility suitable for semiconductor applications at Talcher.
• In August 2025, the Department of Atomic Energy hosted the 18th International Conference on Astronomy and Astrophysics. Over 300 students and 140 members from 64 countries participated in it.
• The first two units of the indigenous 700 MW hydraulic hydropower plant at Kakrabar, Gujarat have received the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board’s license for regular operation.
• An electron beam based sterilization facility in Indore, Madhya Pradesh continues to provide e-beam sterilization services to medical device manufacturers in compliance with ISO standards. In September 2025, the company successfully completed the sterilization of 1.53 crore medical devices. The sterilized medical devices here are exported to more than 35 countries including Germany, England, Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, Indonesia, Portugal, Czech Republic, and Russia.
• Electronics Corporation of India, operating under the Department of Atomic Energy, has successfully developed and manufactured integral components for the Agni missile system with the aim of national security.
• To meet the requirements of niobium for space programs, a niobium thermite production facility has been started under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre of the Department of Space. The first niobium oxide was successfully produced from this plant and was handed over to the Secretary, Department of Space and the Chairman, Space Commission.
• A significant milestone has been achieved in the enrichment of Boron-11 with purity of more than 99.8% (substitution grade) at the Boron Exchange Distillation Plant in Talcher.
• A fast-maturing genetically modified banana variety has been developed in collaboration with the National Banana Research Centre, Trichy.
• 17 MoUs have been signed for setting up gamma ray processing facilities in the private sector and state government departments. 6 such facilities are expected to be commissioned by 2025, taking the total number of such facilities operating in the country to 40.
