Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Sports Conference 2.0 - 2025
  • Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin today (16.12.2025) in Chennai, inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Sports Conference 2.0 - 2025, which aims to provide training to district sports officers, coaches, and leading athletes on topics including athlete development, training methods, sports science, sports nutrition, psychology, artificial intelligence in the world of sports, training and high-performance ecology, sports analytics, the 2036 Olympic vision plan, and sports medicine.
  • At the event, the Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister also launched the Athlete Management System, which is based on performance analysis and planning using training, physical fitness, and well-being data for all athletes of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority's sports hostels.
Free Trade Agreement between India and Jordan
  • Responding to an invitation from King Abdullah II of Jordan, Prime Minister Modi travelled to Jordan the day before yesterday for a two-day state visit. Yesterday, Prime Minister Modi and King Abdullah II of Jordan addressed the India-Jordan Business Forum held in the capital Amman.
  • Crown Prince Hussein and Jordan's Minister of Trade and Industry, and Minister of Investment also participated in the event. Speaking at the event, King Abdullah II said that by combining Jordan's free trade agreements and India's economic strength, an economic corridor could be created across South Asia, West Asia and beyond. 
  • Continuing his speech, Prime Minister Modi said, "India is a rapidly growing major economy, on the path to becoming the world's third-largest economy.
  • Bilateral trade with Jordan will be doubled to 5 billion US dollars in the next 5 years. I invite the startup companies of both countries to collaborate in the fields of digital public infrastructure, information technology, fintech, health-tech, and agri-tech."
  • Jordan's Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II drove Prime Minister Modi to the museum in his car.
Ethiopia's highest award for Prime Minister Modi
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a two-day state visit to Ethiopia as part of his three-nation tour. Upon his arrival in the capital Addis Ababa, he was given a warm welcome at the airport by the country's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. 
  • During this meeting, in a move to strengthen relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Modi was awarded Ethiopia's highest honor. The award, 'The Great Honor Nishan of Ethiopia', was conferred upon Prime Minister Modi. Prime Minister Modi has become the first world leader to receive this award.
  • This is the 28th highest award received by Prime Minister Modi from foreign countries. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed honored Prime Minister Modi by presenting him with this award.
