Nitish Kumar becomes Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time
- Following the victory of the National Democratic Alliance in the recent assembly elections in Bihar, Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time at Patna's Gandhi Maidan today.
- Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath to him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda and other important leaders attended the ceremony.
- BJP's Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. A 20-member cabinet including the Chief Minister was sworn in. Alliance parties have also been given a place in the cabinet.
- Nitish Kumar, who did not contest the assembly elections, will continue as a member of the Legislative Council. If he continues as Chief Minister for another 5 years, he will create the record of being the longest-serving Chief Minister in the country.
- A technology-based research agreement has been signed between India's Defence Research and Development Organisation and the French Directorate General of Armaments.
- The agreement was signed by Dr Sameer V Kamath, Chairman, Central Organisation for Defence Research and Development, and Lt. Gen. Gale Diaz de Duesta, Director, National Armaments Division, France, at a ceremony held at the Central Organisation for Defence Research and Development in New Delhi today (20.11.2025).
- The agreement is a strategic partnership to create innovations and leverage the sectoral expertise and resources of both countries to address future defence challenges.
- The agreement provides for the development of capabilities and knowledge in defence research and for the organization of joint training, testing, information exchange, workshops, seminars, etc. between the defence forces of the two countries.
