- Reserve Bank Deputy Governor T. Rabi Shankar has been appointed as a part-time member of the 16th Finance Commission by President Draupadi Murmu.
- He will hold this post till the date the Finance Commission submits its report by October 31, the order issued today (June 7) said. It is noteworthy that Arvind Panagariya is the chairman of the 16th Finance Commission.
