6 Indian sites included in UNESCO's tentative list for recognition
- UNESCO has recognized many natural and historical sites from India in the list of world heritage sites. UNESCO has included 43 sites, including Mamallapuram Beach Temple, Qutub Minar, and Taj Mahal in Agra, in the list of world heritage sites.
- With this, 6 sites from India have been included in UNESCO's tentative list for recognition. Gangar Valley Park in Chhattisgarh, ancient steep rocks in Mudumalai in Telangana, Ashoka's edicts in several states, Sausad Yogini Temple, Gupta temples in several states of North India, and the Palace and forts of the Bandela Kingdom in Mubi and UP have been included.
- With this, the number of Indian sites on UNESCO's tentative list for recognition has increased to 62.
