Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurates development projects worth Rs. 2 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam, lays foundation stone for new projects
- The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs. 2 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and inaugurated completed projects.
- In another major step in his commitment to green energy and a sustainable future, he laid the foundation stone for the state-of-the-art NTPC Green Energy Limited Green Hydrogen Centre project at Putimadaka near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
- This will be the first Green Hydrogen Centre under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. An investment of around Rs. 1,85,000 crore has been made for this project.
- The Prime Minister dedicated to the nation, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various railway and road projects worth Rs. 19,500 crore in Andhra Pradesh, including laying the foundation stone for the South Coastal Railway Headquarters in Visakhapatnam.
- As ISRO Chairman Somnath's term is about to end, the Central Government's Appointments Committee has selected Narayanan as the new chairman. Accordingly, V. Narayanan from Kanyakumari district has worked as the Director of LPSC in Valiyamala, Thiruvananthapuram.
- Narayanan is set to take charge as ISRO Chairman on the 14th. It has been reported that he will continue as ISRO Chairman for 2 consecutive years.
